5 Steps for Resolving ‘Sticky’ Situations and Conflicts

If you’re like me, you’ve let your mouth fly wide open in times of conflict with your mate (or others), only to reveal the manipulative and prideful intentions behind your words.

For me, these sticky situations erupt when I’ve really had the best of intentions. 😉 In the moment, I think my words will bring clarity and understanding to my spouse (cue the sound of angels singing from heaven).

But . . .

All I really offered my mate was a sticky web intended to capture him in his own words.

And once my anger and pride settles back down, I can see just what a tangled mess I’ve made—binding both of us tightly to . . .

One more thing before you head over there . . .

Hebrews Bible Study

I’d also like to let you know about another Facebook Bible Study (private group) experience that I’m offering. We will be going through the book of Hebrews rather slowly—a few verses at a time—starting the week of Jan. 7, 2018, using my WORTHY method for gleaning truths and applications from Scripture.

If you don’t know how to do an in-depth study of God’s Word, or simply want the freedom to read my well-researched (and hopefully, inspiring) notes, then please ask to be added. If we are not already FB friends, you’ll need to friend me at Beth Oster Steffaniak, as well as letting me know that’s what you would like to do—be added to the group, that is.

Also, if you’d like to read more about what this study involves, click here. Obviously, this study is free of charge and comes with no obligation to stay engaged, though that just might be the best way to start 2018! Amen??!!

I’m still officially on a blogging break, but will be returning next Sunday, January 7th with a post that I think fits well with all the New Year’s resolutions we each might be making—“Why You Shouldn’t Be the ‘Best Version’ of Yourself.”

Until then, I’m going to keep you in suspense as to why I’m making this claim! 😉

By the way, I am a frequent contributor to lifelettercafe.com, as are many other quality Christian bloggers. I hope you make checking out that ministry a regular habit in 2018 and beyond.

  • Happy New Year, dear friend. I’m sure you’re enjoying your last days of break from all this online madness … I hope that your Advent season has prepared you well for the adventure that this coming year is sure to bring.

Thanks for sharing wisdom week in and out, and for modeling for us what marriage can be. Blessings to you and Gary …

  • Headed over to read the rest now :). I can relate to the tangled web and trying to trip my hubby up in his own words :/
