Wedded Wednesday Link-up and Giveaway!

Since this is our very first Wedded Wednesday, I wanted to make it extra special by also including a giveaway! Yaaaayyyy!

Now I know it’s getting close to Valentines Day and around my house, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach! So I just happened to come across a yummy and “skinny” cupcake recipe on Pinterest the other day. Who could resist that? Well, if you’re like me, you can’t … so you’ll find the recipe, lovely photo, and link right here at www.ShugarySweets.com.

Along that line, what would a Valentines Day be without some romantic music … or whatever kind of music that gets your “groove on!” So if you comment on today’s post, you’ll be entered to possibly win a $10  iTunes gift card! The contest deadline is Friday, Feb. 1st at midnight (CST) and I’ll be announcing the winner on Saturday, Feb. 2nd in the afternoon, so stay tuned!

One more thing, my life coaching site is up and running. You might wonder what the difference is between a life coach and a counselor. Think of it like a doctor vs. a physical therapist. A doctor (metaphorically like a counselor) may do “major surgery” or deal with removing cancer or treating a life-threatening infection, while a physical therapist (like a coach) would give you exercises to strengthen a particular weak area and work with you till you are strong enough to manage on your own.

You can find out more info and explanation at my coaching site – www.hoperenewedcoach.com.

And for the next two weeks I’m offering a reduction in the price of my coaching! You can receive the 3 month package for the price of the 6 week package. All you have to do is contact me at messymarriage (at) gmail (dot) com by Feb. 13th, 2013, requesting this special deal, and I’ll give you that discount when you sign up on my site.

Now let’s get busy with our very first Wedded Wednesday!

Here are the rules:

  1. Write in any way you feel inspired about marriage or parenthood.
  2. Be sure to include a link to Wedded Wednesday or copy and paste the WW button to your blog.
  3. Visit and comment on at least one other person’s blog that’s linked up here.

Optional but encouraged:

  • Consider setting up your Gravatar profile and Disqus Profile with a link to your blog … it makes it so much easier for all of us to find those of you who blog!
  • If you have the time, visit those who visit your blog and comment at their place as well … sort of a “Say it forward.”

Blessings to you on hanging out your coaching shingle!

  • Gaye @CalmHealthySexy

Thanks so much for the opportunity to link up with you!

  • Amy M

I seem to have made a few faux pas … Linky #8 and #10, specifically. I “entered” twice, somehow, when my laptop choked, and somehow the link system picked up a comment section instead of my blog entry title? Urgh! I admit user error, but not completely! 🙂

  • Stacey

That cupcake looks so tasty that my actual Valentine’s Day gift would be the display of self control to keep from eating them before Bryan got home! 🙂 Thanks for the recipe!

  • I can’t wait to try that skinny cupcake! Also, thx for the clarification of therapist/coach. I did not know the subtle difference. I look forward to more of your wedded wednesdays! Blessings.

  • Hooray and congrats on your coaching site up, and for your first Wedded Wednesday! Cupcakes look great, too!

  • I really appreciate your steadfast support of MM, Linda. I’m excited about this new phase. I have to say, I love the engagement with everyone. Sometimes it can be a lonely place here at MM. 🙂 Thanks for coming by and I’ll let you know if you’re a winner soon!

  • Aww, my sweet friend, Kelli! I’m so thankful for your encouragement in my blogging life. Thanks so much for your kind words. I always smile when I see you’ve visited. And I’m loving the way God is using me too. I just hope I can remain emptied out. That’s the trick! 😉

  • Yeah, I’ve wanted to do it for over a year, but just didn’t feel like I had all the “pieces” I needed. Finally, God opened the door for it this week. 🙂 And I’m not sure I’m the best person to ask about whether you should do it or not–since I’m such a newbie … but, so far I’m loving it! So I’d say – come on in … the water’s fine! I’ll certainly look for yours if you do one, Alecia. Thanks so much for coming by and encouraging me!

  • I’m so glad you like it, Ngina! That was quite an undertaking this past year too–the website alone. But God’s been so good to teach me along the way. Thanks as always for your support and friendships, my friend. I’m so glad we’ve found each other in this great big blogging world!

  • I’m so glad, Becky! And thanks for the congrats too. I’m excited about this new chapter, albeit a bit nervous too! You can pray for me in that, if you think of it! Thanks so much for coming by and brightening my day, my friend!

  • I’m so glad, Heather. I’ve appreciated your support and encouragement all along the way. And thanks for linking up and entering the giveaway. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the winner! 🙂

  • Yeah, I’ve been afraid to take the leap and really put it out there, but God’s nudging me ever forward. And thanks so much for your sweet words, Pam. They mean a lot to me … and so do you!

  • Yeah, at least their supposed to be “skinny” or we’d both be in trouble! haha! Thanks so much for coming by and linking up!

  • Thanks so much for coming by and linking up, Rubi! I hope you keep coming back every week! And you’re quite welcome on the comment on your blog. I meant it! Great to meet you and join forces today. And who knows, you may be the winner I’ll be contacting on Saturday! 🙂

  • Thanks and I love Tiramisu! You’re making me hungry, Amy!

  • No problem! I’m just glad things seem to be working okay. That was one of my biggest worries with this morning. Thanks for coming by and linking up! I hope you come again, Amy!

  • No problem! I’m just glad you took up my invitation and came by! I appreciate your ministry so much and am honored to have you join me today, Gaye!

  • Yeah, you and me both, Stacey. I was salivating when I saw this beautiful picture on Aimee’s blog. I hope you visit there too! And thanks so much for coming by and supporting me on this big day for MM! I’ve always wanted to do one of these and finally took the plunge! Thanks for your support, my friend!

  • I’m not sure it fully explains it but if you go to the site, there’s more explanation there, Pearl. I can’t wait to try the cupcake recipe either! I love chocolate and cherries! Thanks so much for coming by and linking up today! I hope you make it a weekly event, and who knows, maybe I’ll be in touch to you about the iTunes card!

  • I went by your site and was going to comment at your latest, inviting you to link up, Kim, but saw that it had been a while since you’ve written. I hope you get back at it and we can join forces. In fact, I thought you were starting a link up. Was that just a one time thing or am I remembering wrong? Thanks so much for coming by and encouraging me! And maybe I’ll encourage you right back, if you win the iTunes card!
